ICDA call to collaborate with World Food Day, October 16, 2019
October 04, 2019 | Feature Article |
The Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Washington, DC, has requested ICDA's support for the World Food Day campaign.
ICDA would like to support WFD 2019 by inviting all member countries to participate and communicate this day of reflection to dietitians and the entire population.
How to do it?
There are many ways to participate in the WFD, among which we highlight:
- Organize an activity in your country or encourage dietitians in your country to organize activities around the slogan of WFD2019. These activities can be registered in the interactive map of the website: http://www.fao.org/world-food-day/join-us/en/
- Make a commitment to a healthy and sustainable diet and share it on social media by using the hashtags #WorldFoodDay and #ZeroHunger. Graphics, key facts and figures are available for your use.
- Mark your calendar for the World Food Day Twitter Chat "Healthy Diets for a #ZeroHunger World" #WFDChat on Monday, October 14 from 10-11 AM EDT.
- Promote the World Food Day Poster Contest with youth between the ages of 5 and 19 to create artwork that reflects their ideas on eating healthy.
