1956 Committee for Exchange of Dietitians began the ongoing study of work and training of dietitians. In follow-up to interest stimulated by the 1st Congress on dietetics training and opportunities for employment as a professional dietitian, during the 2nd Congress a committee was appointed to study the training and opportunities for dietitians to work or study in other countries. The Committee prepared a report for the 1961 Congress.
1961 to 1973 British Dietetic Association An offer by the British Dietetic Association to compile, and keep up-to-date, a summary made by the individual national associations relating to their individual method of training dietitians was accepted.
1974 to 1984 Dietitians Association of Australia Assumed responsibility for summarizing and up-dating this information for the 8th and 9th Congresses.
1984 to 1992 Israel Dietetic Association Manual 1990 and Supplement 1992 Training and Work of Dietitians presented to each national dietetic association Member of ICDA.
1992-1996 The International Committee of Dietetic Associations organized two mini-symposia on the Trends in the Education of Dietitians Around the World and Trends in the Work of Dietitians Around the World.
