The International Confederation of Dietetic Associations hosts an International Congress of Dietetics every four years at a place determined by official Representatives.
Twelve months prior to the Representatives' Meeting, Member associations in the designated region are to provide a signed Offer to Host the International Congress of Dietetics 
that will be held approximately eight years later. Each Member association that has submitted an Offer to Host the International Congress of Dietetics will be invited to make a presentation at a meeting of official Representatives held during a Congress.
Voting for the host Member association(s) takes place at an Official Representatives' Meeting during the International Congress of Dietetics.

2012 Congress
Sydney, Australia
Host the Dietitians' Association of Australia
2016 Congress
Venue to be decided by Representatives at the Congress in 2008.
National dietetic associations Members of ICDA are encouraged to consider hosting the Congress.
