The Spanish Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists (AEDN) is a national association that brings together almost 3,000 dietitians-nutritionists (DN) represented through regional professional associations and colleges. Among the most important AEDN objectives are: 1) The defense of the profession of DN taking into account the interests of citizens, 2) promote the science of human nutrition and dietetics based on scientific evidence through the Review, Study and Scientific Position Statement Group of AEDN (www.grep-aedn.es), 3) promote the creation of the general council of official colleges of DN, 4) promote services of interest for memberships, as well as lifelong learning and 5) regulate the DN profession in Spain, and the ethical practice of the profession.

La Asociación Española de Dietistas-Nutricionistas (AEDN) es una asociación nacional que agrupa a cerca de 3.000 dietistas-nutricionistas (D-N) representados a través de las asociaciones y colegios profesionales regionales. Entre los objetivos más importantes de la AEDN están: 1) La defensa de la profesión de D-N teniendo en cuenta los intereses de los ciudadanos, 2) promover las ciencias de la nutrición humana y dietética basadas en la evidencia científica a través del Grupo de Revisión, Estudio y Posicionamiento de la AEDN (www.grep-aedn.es), 3) promover la aparición del consejo general de colegios oficiales de D-N, 4) promover servicios de interés para el asociado, así como la formación continuada y 5) regular la profesión de D-N en España, así como el ejercicio ético de la profesión.
