The Swiss Association of Registered Dietitians is the only professional organisation and the Voice of the dietetic profession in Switzerland. The association encourages life-long learning and offers further education for members. It establishes Quality- Insurance Programmes and ethical principles for the profession. One of the main goals is to promote the professional development of dietetians.

Der Verband hat klare Verbandsstrukturen, transparente Zielsetzungen und professionelle Führungsinstrumente. Die Mitglieder des Vorstandes, die einzelnen Arbeitsgruppen, Kommissionen und Regionalgruppen vertreten verschiedene Arbeitsbereiche des Berufes sowie die Regionen. Der Verband achtet auf eine breite Abstützung und Kontinuität in all seinen Tätigkeiten. Der Verband ist politisch unabhängig. Das Ziel des Verbandes ist eine hohe fachliche und persönliche Kompetenz aller Mitglieder. Der Verband orientiert sich an einer vernetzten und wissenschaftlich fundierten Sichtweise der Ernährungsberatung und an international und national anerkannten Ernährungsempfehlungen.
